Day Without a Woman

Support Woman Owned Business. Women have the power to shape the future.

As Roxane Gay states in her powerful book, Bad Feminist, “When you can’t find someone to follow, you have to find a way to lead by example.”

Sin in Linen is continually striving to find new ways to lead by example and are proud to serve our community of fierce thinkers. This is why we are excited to support the upcoming “Day Without a Woman.”

In the same energy and focus as the Women’s March in January, March 8th is “A Day Without a Woman.” With support from the Women’s March team, this day focuses on “recognizing the enormous value that women of all backgrounds add to our socio-economic system — while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, sexual harassment, and job insecurity.”
And just like the organizers, Sin in Linen believes in gender justice.

Our company was founded by a fearless and passionate woman, Sandy Glaze, and from day one Sin in Linen has focused on empowering and supporting women.
If you hope to take part in “A Day Without a Woman” on March 8th there are three things you can do!:

1. Women take the day off, from paid and unpaid labor

2. Avoid shopping for one day (with exceptions for small, women- and minority-owned businesses)

3. Wear RED in solidarity with “A Day Without a Woman”
